All children should bring a waterproof coat with a hood to school with them every day. The weather changes very quickly and so that the children can go outside at playtime without the risk of getting wet or cold they will need a coat. All children should also have a pair of wellies in school so that we can use the outdoor area in all weathers.
Reception will also need their book bag in school every day. It should contain only their reading book, reading record, balloon sound sheet and coin keyword sheet so that we can read with them in school.
We encourage all Nursery children to buy a book bag from the school office and use it to keep their library book in. It's also really handy for us to put letters and pictures in at the end of the day and for you to send slips and money back to school etc.
As we do PE on a Friday the children should all come into school wearing their PE kit on this day. This can either be red shorts and a white T shirt or a dark colour tracksuit with a white T shirt and trainers.
Don’t forget that urgent messages can be given to the member of staff on the gate in the morning or alternatively you can send a Dojo message and we will respond at either lunchtime or after school.
We use two apps to let you know about what is happening in school. "Tapestry" is used to document the children's individual learning experiences and "ClassDojo" is used to award the children points for positive behaviour and allows Teachers to communicate what is happening generally in class.
Dojo can also be used to message the teachers personally and share photos from home with the class.
You may have spotted our 'Proud Clouds'. These will be used to celebrate children's achievements out of school e.g. swimming lessons or doing something for the first time. There will always be spare sheets in the box with the adult at the door each morning so if you need any just ask!
