Maasai warriors visit Chapel End

The Osiligi Maasia warriors visited Chapel End as a part of our studies of cultures from around the world. They told us all about their traditions and way of life. They performed dances that their tribe would do to celebrate different things. One dance illustrated the way in which the young males in the tribe would be sent out to kill a lion to show how strong and fearless they were. They explained that, these days, they no longer kill lions but work with scientists and conservationists to look after them and help with wildlife tours to bring money to their families.
