RSE & PSHE
RSE & PSHE Intent Statement
Our PSHE education, including statutory Relationships and Health education, and non-statutory sex education, as recommended by the DfE, provides a framework though which key skills, attributes and knowledge can be developed and applied. It promotes positive behaviour, good mental health and wellbeing, resilience and achievement. It helps children to stay safe online, develop healthy and safe relationships, make sense of media messages, challenge extreme views and develop the skills and attributes to negotiate and assert themselves now and in the future. As a result of this they will become healthy, independent and responsible members of a society who understand how they are developing personally and socially, and give them confidence to tackle many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up.
We will do the best WE can to enable our children to do the best THEY can.
